Role
Common secondary botanical in gin.
In gin
Angelica root is one of the botanicals Parr, Sutherland and Fisk (2024) list as commonly included in gin. Citing Holm and colleagues (1997) on Angelica archangelica roots, they note that angelica root may or may not contain 3-carene depending on its geographical origin, one example of how botanical origin changes a gin's volatile profile.
