Coriander seed
Coriander seed is among the botanicals most commonly used in gin after juniper, listed first among the usual extras in a 2024 study of gin distillation.

Role
Common secondary botanical in gin.
In gin
Parr, Sutherland and Fisk (2024) list the botanicals "commonly included" with juniper: coriander seed, angelica root, orange peel, lemon peel, orris root, liquorice root, cardamom, cinnamon and cassia bark. EU law limits none of these; for gin it requires only that juniper predominate.
